ong story short, my ac compressor is blowing the 10amp fuse in the box, its been like this since i bought the car, previous owner gave me the old compressor and clutch when i bought the car. he told me he paid for someone to install the new compressor and clutch thats on the car right now because someone told him the old clutch was bad and thats why it was blowing the fuse in the first place seems that wasent the case since its still blowing the fuse.

When i put a 30amp fuse in its place it will not blow the fuse, compressor clutch starts spinning, and sounds like belt is slipping or something ( screeching noise), i reached down and felt tension on the ac belt and it felt tight, what could be my problem and how would i go about trouble shooting from here ?

I have the same problem in my car. Nissan Dealer told me I have a short in my compressor clutch that is blowing the fuses. I also have the screeching a/c belt. I think that from it being a little loose. Got a used compressor off ebay (holds breath) will be installing soon. I will let you know how i make out.
Oh yeah the dealer quoted my $1300 to fix. I ordered a specialty z exhaust instead.

My belt only sqeeks when i hit the "auto" button to engage the AC, and will only do it with a 30amp fuse the 10amp will just pop

i may try and tighten the belt " it seems tight enough" and hopefully get it to blow cold air.

I think my compressor clutch is bad, i tightened the belt and now its popping the 30 amp fuse, leading me to say the compressor clutch is locking up, if its less tesiond it will spin and burn the belt up but still wont run on the standard 10 amp fuse.

Did you replace you Compressor Yet ?

In mine if i put a 30amp fuse in while the car is already running the compressor will run and cool the car down for a few minutes and then the fuse will blow

i may just need a new compressor clutch.

I had the new (used) compressor put in last week and it worked fine, but yesterday it stopped blowing cold again. This is so frustrating, I think im gonna just leave it alone and forget about a/c. Too expensive to fix.

So yours used to blow the fuse, you swapped compressors and it stopped, it must have been the compressor clutch,

ill change mine and see what happens.
