hey guys, so i just ordered my koyo racing radiator. i was wondering if it is neccesary to remove the ac and ps pullys on my rb20 to install? i don't have either so they are def. not needed. really i would like to remove even if i could fit the koyo, just for a little brreathing room. how do they come off? will i damage anything if i do it? thanks i searched to no avail, could have been the wording

if you don't have either why wouldnt you just remove the pumps altogether instead of their pulleys?

but anyway, those pullies stick out no further than the crank pulley, so no you don't need to remove them. if you're running e- fans you most likely need to put the fans in first, then the radiator.

radiator and fans attached doesnt really fit.

i didn't think i had the pumps, just the pulleys. i am confused now. well the pulleys in question def. stick out the front more than any of the others. it's llike my belt is on 3 pulleys and the bottom one has 2 extra ones coming off of it that are not being turned by the belt. i have 2 puller fans, but there is no way they will fit with the extra pulleys and the new radiator. i might have to use a pusher fan.

No you dont need to remove anything when installing your koyo. You have room but not enough like we all wish we had.

Only option I have is to convert my pusher into a puller and put it between radiator and intercooler. See I have no ac and you do so it'll be different for you.

those pulleys are part of the crank pulley. its one piece and they are not removable and you need it (in its entirety) to help dampen vibrations from the crank. if you want detachable accessory pulleys, pick up the ATI for $500+. maybe you could get the oem one cut down or something to remove the 2 accessory drives but i doubt thats a good idea. probably messes up the damper.

i thought you were talking about the pulleys on the pumps themselves originally, but i see you took those pumps out.
