I have a code from my ABS that says each one of the front wheel sensors has an open circuit. When I measure the right front sensor resistance, I get 1.6K ohms. The correct range is 0.9 to 1,1 k ohms. Would this be enough to make the ABS electronics report an open circuit? I am concerned that both sensors report 'open'. Sounds like it would not be likely. My issue is that I can fix the sensors for a few hundred bucks in parts, but if it is the ABS electronic system the fix would be more than the truck is worth (~ $2k).

Any help you can provide would be welcome!

No ideas, huh? Actually, that is an answer unto itself...

Well, I wouldn't think that 1.6k ohms would be an issue.

Did you try to clear the code to see if it comes back?

Maybe even disconnect the battery for awhile and see if that does anything.

I had tried to clear the code using the ground jumper procedure to pin 9 of the connector... no luck. I will try the battery disconnect as well. Does anyone have experience with replacing their ABS electronic control module? It was suggested by a local mechanic that this could also be the problem, but that the codes point to the lower order sensors.
