My '94 did this once too. I tapped the brake master cylinder with a wrench fairly hard (FAIRLY hard, not beat on it) a few times and it went away. It never came back. You might want to try that. Of course, if it reoccurs, you may need to dig further into it.30bino09 wrote:Hi Folks,Just finished repairing my powersteering line and replacing the pump that works fine. My ABS warn light came on this morning and is remaining on solid, not noticing any blinking. More worrying is that I am hearing a humming sound coming from the Actuator unit (or is the word activator), and I could feel a small vibration when I touch it. It even continues when I turn off the engine. I had to disconnect the battery to stop the humming. Has anyone experienced this, what could be happening? Is the unit controlled by a relay? I pray this is a simple fuse or relay fix.

The relays are on the other side of the engine bay - so your tapping must have traveled through the brake lines!StarPD wrote:My '94 did this once too. "Bump" is an online forum term - a way to move the thread back to the top of the list. I was asking one of the posters who had removed the cover to respond to you.30bino09 wrote:BUMP????????
Glad it worked for ya. Now you know what to do if it happens again. If it keeps happening though, you may need parts replacement. Only happened once for me, so maybe I was just lucky. I hope you are too.30bino09 wrote:One easy tap with a small rubber mallet did the trick. The humming stopped instantly. Thanks folks
