i'm interested in purchasing my friends 1990 240 hb. i found out that this model does not have abs. i was wondering if i upgraded my brakes if i would help me not having abs. or can i just get abs w/getting upgraded brakes????

Finding any 240sx with ABS is rare. Any good brake upgrade should help. Braking distance will likely stay the same, but bigger brakes will reduce the chance of brake fade. You will find most 240 owners with 300ZX front brakes do not have ABS and will swear by them(myself included). As far as adding ABS, you can do it, but it probably won't be very easy or cost effective. You have to get a hold of all the sensors, ABS hubs, diff housing, ABS Actuator, lines and computer. My advice is if you want ABS, be patient and find a car already equipped with it.
