I'm getting ready to purchase new rotors and brakes for my 1995 Nissan 240SX SE and don't know if my car is equipped with an ABS system. How can I determine whether my car has this or not?:confused

Easiest way to tell is in the engine bay. To the left of the head there will be the abs actuator (a device with brake lines going to and from it). Its between the intake manifold and the cruise control. If you dont have this you dont have abs. Well that and the abs light in the guages hehe but it could have blown.

Anyway the rotors and pads are the same regardless.

May I ask what types of rotors you are getting, F & R, and from where?

I ask because http://www.raceconcepts.net has some damn fine prices (call as the listed price isnt real as its about 190 - 195 for all 4 brembo CD & S rotors) and their service was top notch for me.

The place is http://www.groupbuycenter.com . There is a sell on Brembo rotors from Import Replacement Parts. I'm still awaiting a quote from them. I've heard of Raceconcepts but dnn't know if I can afford the X/S drilled rotors yet. I'll give them a call anyway. Thanks for your help.

So when they say that rotors are for abs or non-abs it is of no consequence?

I have been looking but havn't been able to find rotors I like that will go with my abs, but couldn't understand how they could possibly be different..

they probably are the same, just part of the category break down auto parts stores use. I hate those things, always asking for VIN#'s and stuff.

Does anyone have some hard facts on the matter?

I would hate to go and drop several hundred just to get something I can't even use..
