im about to start working on another SR swap, but this front clip is coming with ABS and HICAS.

is there anyway i can just cancel the ABS and not use it? my friend doesn't want it. obviously, im going to need a regular SR20 PS Pump, but as far as ABS goes (wiring and line routing), what are the steps to get the car running while bypassing ABS? i couldnt seem to find a write up on it.

pretty much there is none, just dont hook up the lines, not hooking up the ABS is not gonna make any difference when it comes to geting the car running. where in the bay are you from?

im actually from fairfield, just to clear things up. i just like to put SF as my location because im not particularly proud of where i live....haha. plus SF is my hometown!

i do go to Wyotech in Fremont, so yeah...im always somewhere in the bay area. i was in Brisbane picking up another front clip for my friend, and i came across this clip, so that is why i was wondering if there was any sort of complication with the ABS/HICAS SR being transferred into a 89 chassis. i can just completely cut the ABS from the harness without any ill effects? it wont compromise startup?

ABS has nothing to do with the motor. Nothing. The ABS computer is located in the rear driver side quarter panel. The ABS actuator module is located on the firewall opposite the master cylinder.

As far as HICAS is concerned, the PS pump is designed with 2 propellers in it. The rear propeller is the HICAS pump. Your options are to get a new PS pump for non HICAS, or take your current one, remove the back plate, pull the fins out and then cap off the line leads.
