Hey guys, while installing a new driver's side front spring (old one actually snapped) I couldn't figure out the proper way to remove the ABS sensor.

I removed the screw, and it didn't budge. Then I got a screwdriver and gave it a good whack with a hammer, and busted it open

I installed the new spring, and tightened the ABS sensor the best I could, but I am pretty sure it's no good. I am getting an ABS light on the dash, so I guess the sensor is no good.

Here are the questions I have:

Anyone know the proper way to remove those without busting them?

Know a part number to order a sensor?

Any info would be appreciated very much!

Anyone know how to properly remove the sensor from the housing?

And if you can order just the sensor?

You cannot remove the sensor from the strut without destroying as far as I can tell (engineered profit). I thought abuot trying a hacksaw, but then the ABS light stopped bothering me.

And yes, you can just order the sensor from Joe, I think it is around $150.
