abs question

This may be a bit of a noob question but I've searched and couldn't find the specific answer. I have a s13 w/o abs, I want to do a j30/q45 brake swap, so does that mean I have to I have abs? can I just get use the j30/q45 brakes w/o abs? are abs brake lines different from non-abs lines?
