abs problem

for some reason when i first start my car in the cold morning when i start my car the abs light dont turn on but as soon as i start to go it turns on and i can hear the abs module running. i try to shut off the car and turn it back on and see if it turns off and it doesnt. after i drive it to where ever im going i shut the car off and i can still hear it running. it will run for prob about 10 mins than turn off and after that it would it would be fine it wont turn on no more until the car sits til next morning and it will do the same thing. does anyone have clues on what i should check and test?
