ABS in 1991-1994 Sentra Se-R and NX2000

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Quick question, does the NX2000 or Sentra SE-r with ABS have two different size rear rotors and calipers. Or better yet, is the ABS model's rear brake set-up bigger than the non-ABS set-up?

Thanks,

Dee

NX2k brakes same size ABS or not. SE-R brakes, smaller than NX2k brakes, but still same size abs or not. The difference between the different size nx brakes is this: you need to get the brakes that come from a Japanese manufactured NX2k. This should be a question they ask you at the parts store. If you don't get those, the nx2k brakes will be (US manufactured) the same as the se-r brakes, ad18vf, you want ad22vf. You will also need the torque members for the ad22's as well.

My problem isn't with the AD22VF brakes as I've been usin ghtese on my B12 for years already, but the rear calipers and their brackets. I was sent some rotors that were cross drilled and slotted for the bigger brakes or ABS on the NX2000. The problem is the rear rotors are larger than the ones that were previously on my car. These rear rotors require bigger calipers and brackets in the rear to accomodate them. So are there two size rear brake set-ups for non-abs and abs sentras and nx2ks?

I think your answer leads back to what I said earlier. If the brakes you got on the rear now are from a NX2k manufactured in the US, then yes they will be smaller than the brakes front or rear from a NX manufactured in Japan.

Got ya! So are there any cars that have the larger calipers on them before I decide to send the rotors back?

Bringing a dead thread back to life....lol...Not to bust anyones chops, but there is a larger rotor offered for the NX2000 w/ABS. BUT there is no caliper...EXCEPT you can use the G20 rear caliper or the 89-94 Maxima caliper, assuming you don't care about the e-brake cable. I guess you'd have to modify it either way. You want to get the calipers off the G20 if you can use the B13 e-brake cable and lever. ALSO, there WERE no NX2000's EVER produced in the USA. If they ask you ABS or not on the front, you say ABS. If they ask you ABS or not on the rear, you say no, unless you want to use the aforementioned calipers off the Max or G20. I think the code on them is AD7AH or something like that.
