ABS Hydraulic Unit

Hi All,

Just wondering whether it is possible to repair the ABS hydraulic unit, or do I have to replace it? Mine is leaking fluid from the rods on one side and it will cost me as much as the car is worth to buy another one - and that's if I do the work myself.

I have a '93 Maxima SE and I hate to scrap the car, but with no brakes I can't even drive it now.

I've actually never incountered this question before. I did some searching and was not able to find any rebuild kits.

You might try looking at some local junk yards for one in decent shape. I found a couple on http://www.car-parts.com in your area.

Many thanks! I found the part on the site you gave. It is too early in the morning now (6:30am - I don't sleep) but I will order one when they open. Appreciate the help. I really wanted to keep the car!
