I can get a set of 5 lug hubs off a 95 SE for cheap. Problem is if the car has abs i won't be able to use the hubs on my car without abs(correct?). If the 95 SE has abs well there be wires running to a plug on the spindle assemble somewheres like other car makes with abs?

Sorry if anyone feels there intelligence has been affended by my seemingly stupid question to your vast knowledge but i'm not familiar with nissan abs systems:)

Thanks for any help.

Yeah I'd imagine there'd be a abs sensor somewhere, You can also look at the M/C it should have another line running off of it IIRC.

AHHHH MY IQ

hehe j/k easiest way to check abs is to look on the passenger side in the engine bay on the firewall. You would have a thing (cant rem the tech name, abs actuator dont have abs so I never really looked into it much) that looks much like the master cylinder of a clutch or the brake MC part right there, with lines going down to the brakes and to the brake MC.

Easier is if your car is an s14 base it doesnt have them as it wasnt an option IIRC on base cars.

Also you can use abs hubs on a non abs car. Onlt difference is that there is a abs sensor cog around the hub and has the sensor on the spindle. Disconnect or remove the sensor if you wish. Then if you can remove the sensor cog or gear inside the hub if you want but it makes no difference either way.

Only thing is taking a non abs hub and putting it on an abs car you will need to swap these parts into it, is all.

try hitting the brakes in a parking lot of ice. if it makes a lot of noise before you run into something then yes, if you just run into something without noise then no.

In my experience ABS doesn't really make noise, you just feel a lot of vibration from the brake pedal. It's kinda neat. :) Even neater when you stop and you don't think you're going to.

Thanks guys for the responses. I forgot i even posted this thread.

As for the puddle idea the car is without an engine in a junkyard.
