this has something to do with the diff. abs shaft are longer than non abs. if your car has abs, I believe you have to use the abs shaft.

Look under your hood and see if you have an ABS immobilizer. Or, if you dont know what that is, then follow your brake lines from the master cyl. and see if they go to a large what looks like a larger junction box with a motor on it. If it does not, then you do not have ABS. Best way...Measure for the driveshaft.

If you cant figure it out leave the vin on here and I will tell you if you have ABS.

as far as I know this is how it works. if you have ABS all you need is the manual driveshaft of your chassis, because the driveshaft is seperated into two peices, you can use the rear half from your auto if you have ABS or non-abs.

Ex. On my auto s14 I have ABS. Im doing a 5spd swap and I've got a manual driveshaft and I will just re-use the second half of my auto driveshaft.

BTW is a SR20DET manual S14 driveshaft the same as a s14 manual driveshaft for a KA? It is right?

OP listen to blacksrjdm.

Dazzla what you are describing will work, but do realize that the 2nd shaft for the a/t is almost 1 inch smaller in diameter than the m/t 2nd shaft. I am just saying thats all I bought a complete driveshaft for my swap since it is next to impossible to find someone selling one shaft alone.
