Hey guys, About 2 weeks ago my abs started acting up. The abs "noise" (not actual breaking) started going off for no apparent reason. It did it on and off for about a week with the "abs" and "break" lights coming on in the dash randomly. Then about a week ago the abs light started coming on as soon as the noise started (about 6-8mph) and now stays on as long as the car is on. Obviously, this shuts off the abs system so at least I don't have to listen to the noise anymore. Anyway, I had someone suggest that it might be the abs control module as these are known for going bad on the 04's. Does this sound correct? I initially thought a wheel sensor since I had the same issue on a previous car. Is there any way to self-diagnose this? I have a buddy who is a mechanic but he doesn't have all the fancy diagnostic equipment. He thought he could test it if I came up with an abs wire diagram but I just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions. Also, are these things mega-expensive? My dad can get a used one through his work, but they want 300 bucks for one with 70k miles on it off of an 05! Did Nissan correct this issue after the 04's or is it even worth getting one off an 05'-newer with that many miles? Thanks in advance, sorry for the novel
