When I start the car and put in drive or reverse, right as I take my foot off the brakes the ABS clicks on for a second or two. It's also been known to happen if I take a corner at a higher speed. Im positive it's not the traction control activating because the traction light doesn't come on and I know what it sounds like when it is on. This is definately an ABS sound. It didn't happen when I got the car, so Im sure its not a normal sound.

Note* There's no service engine light either. I assume if an ABS sensor was bad the light would come on.

Any thoughts?

As for the noise on start-up, it's just the ABS control module doing a self-test. As for the turning sounds, it may not be the ABS. I'd check drive shafts and make sure no CV boots are torn.

CV boots possibly, but I forgot to mention that on corners when I hear the sound, whichever front wheel is on the inside of the corner feels like the brake on that one wheel is catching - even when my foot is off the brakes. Im afraid someday I'm gonna be turning a corner in the rain and its going to catch and throw me off the road. Where I live the roads are all hilly and curvy and the speed limits are in the 50's so that makes me a bit more nervous than if the roads were flat and straight.
