Last week while driving at about 30 mph, I failed to maintain a proper lookout and found myself in a panic stop. The good news is I did not hit the car in front of me, the bad news is that the car's rear end swung around to the left about 30 degrees and the tires seemed like they were in full lock-up. Is this a matter of concern? I always thought that the anti-skid and ABS brakes would stop you in a straight line. (I have a 2010 G37x w/ 15k mi) :gotme

It should stop in a straight line but also depends upon the road condition, the brakes and suspension. At 15K miles, more likely the road condition or the brake.

It shoud of stop straight. I even do it sometimes at winter time when I get out and do some quick steering right left and hard brake. All at low speed and as soon as I get out of my driveway to make sure I know what I am dealing with. Neever had any problem.

How good your brake rotors and pads are. Maybe one is locking up.

You should not be having an issue with the rear end kicking out. The G37's have a 4-wheel/4-channel/4-sensor Anti-lock Braking System and should adjust each wheel accordingly.

Can you replicate the issue? Trip to the dealership would be the next step.
