ABS = anti-lock brake system

which is essentially antiskid.

taking out the fuse is fine...it just disables the system. Although I HAVE heard stories of people wrecking their cars and the insurance company finding out the fuse was taken out and not paying them anything...but these are just RUMORS I have heard.

The insurance company would have a very very valid point in court to not pay in such a case. Removal of braking components is not a good idea.

Can you explain the problem in the ABS's function?

nah i dont care about drift...

just when i brake ... between like... 5KM/H and a DEAD STOPthe brakes would chatter... so I assumed it was my ABS and took out the fuse.. problem solved.

no more brake chatter just before i stop.

drifing WOULD be nice tho :P

if you are worried about insurance and want to leave abs off take out the fuse, short it out, and put it back in.

I know, I'm so used to FWD... then I picked up a 240 and was like... DAMN. (I live in canada... lots of snow... lots of slide)

SO anyway... yea i just shorted the fuse and put it back in thanks for the tip.

i got a huge engine project comming up... need so many replacement parts... time to make a trip to the scrap yard.
