Hey guys, New name (used to be Agucciboi) Hiya Q45 tech ltns. I have some problems, as I'm sure you can all relate to. The left hand side of the engine bay where I believe the Abs actuator is located has sprung a leak. When I step on the brake, it's like a tiny squirt gun. I have to put brake fluid in about ever 150-200 miles depending on the brake usage. I was told that a seal has gone bad and just to replace the whole unit. I called Scottsdale infiniti and I was quoted $1600. I could be a little off due to the fact that it was 2 months ago. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Several members have replaced the ABS from salvaged cards with good luck. If I'm correct get the 92 because of an improvement made to them...............:thumbup

The only place I've seen that rebuilds ABS for the Q is http://www.cardone.comBut they require a core, prior to rebuild. I'm looking around for a core right now.

If I can find one, soon, I'll send the core off to be rebuilt and then "donate" my old one as a core for the next NICO user, providing that the receipiant continue the chain. I reserve the right to forget about it, if my atty thinks liablity is too great.

Mine started leaking a few months ago, but I'm not even close to filling it up every 150-200 miles, more like topping off every 1500 miles.

The seals in these units fail for two reasons, age and lack of routine fluid changes. If you are really loosing that much fluid, be careful, sounds like a bad day just waiting to happen.

The salvage yard want $400-500 for even a leaky one now as they are aware of the Cardone policy.Every 90-93 [non interchangable 94????]will leak just a matter of years and maintenance. But the 92 seem better!

Has anyone actually gotten a response from Cardone?

I had one a while back saying they were out of them, and my last couple of messages have gone unanswered.
