Unfortunately, ABS light has been on for about 9 months now. I replaced the front sensor driver side sensor and the light went off for three days and then came back on intermittently, normally when I started the car without first turning it to On. Now the light is on constantly, and after about 10 mins of driving, the orange 4wd lights come on too. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas how to bypass the ABS light to get it to go off or any other suggestions as to what could be wrong with it? Also, not sure if there's any way to at least get the 4WD light to stop coming on with the ABS, but that would be good if that's possible.

I recently has an issue also with my abs/vdc/4x4 lights : http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/ ... or-advice/

To properly diagnose this you will need access to an obd2 scanner which can show you live data of your abs sensor.. Without it, I'm afraid you're shooting in the dark. For me, it was simply a little bit of rust on the knuckle under the abs sensor that made it be just a tad to far from the sensor wheel... cost ended up to be 0$... Now since the 4x4 is dependant on the abs in order for the auto option to work, I don't think you will get rid of it... though your 4x4 hi and low should still work, the auto option is more likely not to. Once the abs issue is resolved, you only need to follow the Transfer case diagnostic procedure in order to shut off the 4x4 light... It is a series of step to do with the park/neutral/drive lever and the 4x4 auto, 2wd,4low button..

Yeah I have tested the function of AUTO and Hi and Low. All of those work, regardless of the ABS light. How did you get in to clean the rust and get rid of it so the system would work again? Did you have to reset the light any way?
