I decided to do some work today and changed fuel filter and fluids. was surprised with the space underneath. At 5'11'', I found I could still "sit" under the rear to work on the fuel filter, once I had the spare tire off. My 2 ton jack stands could perhaps have provided a lift of only a couple of inches (under the rear stabilizer bracket) and I didnt use them. But will swap them out for 3 tonners.

I got my printouts of the DIY for loctiting the power valve screws and got started. Disconnected the negative battery cable and took off the infiniti cover and started studying the job, inspecting stuff, tugging at the hoses etc

And about some of the hoses. I cant get them off.

Some of the vaccum hoses will. But theres couple here and there that will not come offf. Atleast is what I felt. For instance, the one in the front just above the power valve actuator. I thought I would rip it apart at which point I quit. But I am wondering, how would one deal with it. Is there a way I could safely remove these hoses without damage. I dont want to be running back and forth between the parts store (12miles away) and am not even sure if they would have them.

Could these hoses have been stuck in there with some sort of silicone sealant or something (at factory)?

Nah, they just get stuck. Don't pull on the hose, that's just makes them intoa chinese puzzle. Push the end. And twist.
