It sucks, but it's just sat too long and would take too much work to put back on the road to be worth it to me. Sort of a longshot, but if someone has the ends and wants to to to ship it to the states I'll just give it to you.

Not Pooh! I can understand though. The salty air there can't be good on cars.

I know what you mean, man! I'm paying out the bung-hole in time and labor for letting my cars sit too long. Rust is cancerous and nasty at best on it's best day.

I don't understand. R...ru..st? What is this "rust" that you speak of? I have never witnessed such a thing. Here, when you leave a car sitting in the elements for years and years, it just fills up with ants and black widow spiders.

Dude! Didn't I just send you some HKS brake lines to get this thing back on the road? At least I got to ride in POOH! :lolling:

Hopefully next time you will get to ride in a freshly restored R30.

Looking forward to it my friend. The vacation home is all finished and up and running on the family compound. Just need to get up there and enjoy some sunshine.

A 22 year old rotary? Surely you jest. :slap:

Nope, gonna proper maintenance and not act like an ***hole that s***. I have a dead 180, a dead Skyline, a dead bike, a sick bike, and a leaking rusty pickup. Not looking to add a blown up RX7 to the list. :nono:

That car doesn't need to do a damned thing to be cool, just be.
Image

Now the R30, on the other hand, that car will have mad squabbles when I finish. It will be fun to DD the 7 all modest and s*** while reconing the new crop of tough guys looking for victims for the Skyline. It's been years since I went out; nobody should know me except the other old dudes and most of them have gotten out of the game or have cars I couldn't hope to be a threat to. :bowrofl:

No disrespect to the CA, but I would deserve a slow death for doing that. I have seen a 13B 180, though; so I guess it would be fair.

UPDATE!

This silly bastard wants to put a KA24 into his SA22! Wild man. I hope he can pull it off!

Always wanted one of those. Too much over here though. I feel you on the cars situation though at least I can hide all mine! HA. The neighbors in your new suburb must like all the relics. I did however get that ZX12R!

I will gladly give all of the magical JDM-Land stuffs off your car a good, loving home. I know it has cool stuff. It has to. Ill send you leafy green spendy money, and you put it in a box and send it to Alabama.

what year is that 180? It's relatively easy to import a 25 year old car to the states

then it should be able to be easily imported to the states pretty soon... once it hits the 25 year old mark to the day
pretty much all of the costs involved would be shipping

it will be 100% legal too, no need to mod/change anything to meet DOT/EPA standards!

By then it could be mailed in a couple of hundred envelopes filled with rust flakes.

lol
how far inland are you in okinawa?

maybe it's a sign you need to move to the mainland? :naughty:
just don't move to kagoshima... constant volcanic ash = bad for paint/engine... I wouldn't want to put in a K&N or any other performance filter there!

oh and the thing about JDM cars is, they don't spray as much under coatings or galvanize as much body steel parts compared to the USDM or EDM exports... typically, AUDM and R.O.W. exports also get the inferior treatments like JDM cars because they don't consider it necessary for the climates... for Japan though, I think it's planned obsolescence

Forreal, I'd rather get those quarter windows for cheap (besides shipping is a b****) than have to get stickers to convert my 240SX to 180SX.

Well, I tried to find someone to take it and try to give it some more life, but no luck. I had to do what I had to do. I almost cried loading it on the truck, thinking about all the good times we had together and how I let the car down. It deserved better than this in-magnanimous end.

Oh jow the rust ravaged it and was the deciding factor towards giving up.
