last october i blew the transmission in my S13. the transmission was crappy anyways so it inevitable.

well me and a friend finally dropped the blown transmission to install the rebuilt one. after lowering the transmission we inspected the Clutch Masters stage 5 clutch and found that the spline were gone. friggin figures. heres some pics.the clutch has less than 1000 miles on it. so needless to say, im a little pissed, lol. i really dont want to get another CM so im open to suggestions on a better setup.

If the clutch looks like that, what does the spline's on the shaft look like? I have never heard of that before. I would call CM and see what they can do for you? Never hurts to try

When the transmission failed, what happened? Did it lock up? Give us a clue as I doubt it was the clutch plates fault.

Bad Pilot bearing? It looks as if that has been milled off, as if a spinning shaft suddenly contacted it. Kinda like a starter leaves marks on the flywheel. Anyway, that is my $.02.

i called clutchmasters the other day. they said its not a common problem so i have to ship them the clutch so they can inspect it. from there they'll decide what they feel they should cover. we'll see how it goes.

on a side note, i ordered an RPS clutch. 2400lb clamping force, 6 puck sprung, holds up to 475tq
