Hey, im about to pick up a 1991 TT with 45k miles on rebuilt engine, turbos and transmission. Everything for $5500. Is that a good price? Guy says the car has 11k invested into it, so seems like a pretty good buy. I went to test drive it and it drives pretty good. I was just wondering what are the common problems with this car and what to look for. I'll post pics once i get my hands on it. Thanks for any input.

that almost seems reasonable. keep an ear out for any gurgling noises or ANY hestitation at idle or under boost. 90-93' Z32's are prone to injector failure. make sure the boost gauge jjives with what he claims it has, if its only the stock one it should be accurate enough to let you know what its boosting. other than that just the typical used car stuff, does he have any receipts etc.

pull the center nose cover off (it covers the air filter and only requires a few screws for removal) and look for damage to the underlying sheetmetal, also the total milage on the vehicle will still effect the market price, but if the car is in overall good shape than yeah sounds like a good deal
