OK, I don't know if there's anything to this or not, but I thought I'd ask some folks that have them. Someone said they installed them and had interference problems under certain conditions (I think while making hard turns) because they "make the KA sit funny". He also said they were designed for the SR, so it was more than just a difference from the worn mounts or something. I'm not entirely sure I buy this, I have seen different part numbers than what I got (from Pinnacle) but what experiences have you folks had with them? I expect the engine to sit a bit higher than I'm used to because my old mounts have 200K miles on them, but will it "sit funny" otherwise? Is there anything I should look out for?ThanksWhat I got:11210-RS54011220-RS54011320-RS541

Depending on the condition of your old mounts, the Nismo units can raise your engine a bit. My stock ones were soft enough to wiggle with my fingers...Nismo mounts pushed my engine up at least 1/2" maybe more; enough to have the OBX header interfere with my steering knuckle...I also started to rub a bit on the old strut bar (very old Pilot Motorsports), which I have taken off.

My original mounts are crazy bad. I'll have to keep that in mind about the strut bar. Thanks.

I was worried about it too. I have an S14 and I'm not sure what you have. The nismo mounts work on the KA. If my motor lifted any it was very slight. I have the JDM Silvia Nissan bar and it doesn't rub so you should be ok.

Nismo mounts raise your engine A LOT.

They don't just raise it back to the height that it sat at the factory, they raise it higher than that, because they use the oem mount casting, but with much stiffer rubber.

I personally suggest to anybody who wants better mounts to fill their stockers with windo-weld (polyurethane). I did mine, and they are stiffer than nismos, and only cost 20 dollars. My engine also doesn't sit as high as a friend's motor that has nismo mounts on it.

Unless you plan on filling nismo mounts with poly to have extra stiff mounts, there really is no reason to get them, because poly-filled stock mounts are so effective.

Those are the same part #'s i got.

I didn't really notice too much of a difference in height, but I didn't have a strut bar to test with. The mounts cause more vibration in the car, which wasn;t too bad. However, it caused some existing rattle in the car to rattle more. I'm talking about those annoying rattles in the cabin from aged plastics and loose plastic clips. Some day i'll have to hunt down those rattle locations .

Well, I got the old ones drilled out, so I guess I'll see how it turns out. My interior didn't rattle before (just rocks stuck in the heat shield...effing hate that). I hope it doesn't start. I'll be compelled to track every one down.
