I'm not happy with my Rogue, have you considered Subaru? Subaru has better AWD and transmission...
As far as the price it works like this:
Between invoice and MSRP there is gross profit and factory incentives. If you use for instance Truecar.com it will knock off the incentives.
At invoice there is another 4% cushion. There is 3% holdback and 1% floorplan which is the interest covered of the bank loan to hold it on floor. So basically 4% below invoice is what they paid for the junk.. I mean Rogue... (yeah I'm disappointed in Rogue hence the junk comment).
If you buy it on the last couple days of the month they may go lower so they (dealer) can get factory bonus for volume.
The best way to get lowest price is get 3 quotes and walk out of the dealer. When you walk out they will give you the lowest price to keep you from walking. On your last visit show lowest quote and say beat it...
What you really want is a negative gross price below invoice. If you never saw the invoice then chances are you left money on the table...
I have never paid more then invoice for a new vehicle, but it takes work.
If you want to know why I don't like the Rogue read here:
