Hello all. I am new to the crew here but have been reading for months leadng up to this weekends purchase. I am lookiing at 2 options and I want everyones opinon on which one to buy. I am open to suggestions.

Option # 12006 M45 Sport with Journey and Tech package.Includes NAVComes with extra set of snow tires. 30,000 milesThis car has the 14 speaker sound systemIn service date = 8-2005Purchase $36,200

Option #2-2006 M45 with Journey PackageIncludes Nav is includedThis car has the basic stereo but has rear DVD player option wth headphones and remote. No Floor mats13,000 milesIn Service date = 6-2006Price $38,000

Both cars check out fine in regards to the past service history. Nothing major at all.

These are the basic differences. My biggest hang up between both cars is that one offers a better stereo and less warranty remaining. And the other offers a lesser stereo and more time on the warranty. My 2 year old would like the DVD but we could always strap one to the rear head rest for a couple hundred dollars if needed. The adaptive cruise control and the lane departure do not do much for me. Meaning only the stereo is what I would be missing out of that package.

So, how good is the stereo difference on the Bose 14 speaker system vs. the base system????

Any feedback anyone has would be great.

Welcome to NICO!

Since I do not own the 2006+ model M, I will leave the question for other folks to address!

Hello,The difference in mileage is hard to ignore given the small difference in price. I do like the Sport package though. The wheels especially. Not a big fan of Bose, 13 speaker or not. Floor mats are a pittance given the price of the cars you are looking at. Snow tires not so much, given you are in Ohio. I would also recommend checking out the Fresh Alloy forums such that they have a fairly large Gen.2 M group and post it there as well.Good Luck,Mark
