Im about to buy a 2003 4dr g35 with 87000 miles on it. When I took it for a test drive i noticed the radio and heat controls didnt work. I told the dealer and he said he would fix it b4 i bought it. I just want to make sure that it gets done correctly. Does anyone know how to tell if its done correctly and is there anything else I should be looking for. I'll take all the advice i can get.thanks

Welcome to the forum Dude!

I'd say that if the heat and the stereo are working when you pick up the car, then the work was done correctly. If you're getting a smoking deal on the car, then good for you. Seems to have high miles on it, but worry not this is a reliable car. I'm sure if the dealer cares about his reputation at all, he'll warrant his work with a 30 day guarantee. I wouldn't sweat it (especially since you don't have heat )

Good luck and keep us posted. Welcome again!Dave

If BOTH the radio and the A/C controls are not functioning... it could be that little 15amp fuse I blow every time I touch my +12V power wire to bare metal!

I would not buy it. The 2003 has a known problem with that and the local dealers and Infiniti will not support you. In fact, they are more likely to take your money when you buy it and then, when the problem occurs again, charge you more than $1,000.00 to pay for it. I went through the same experience. Infiniti at the local level and at the regional level's response was that your car does not fit into the recall list. Of course, the problem was exactly the same and the car was manufactured just a few months later.
