My first new production vehicle in 8 years.
They reintruced the "S" trim recently which cuts out a lot of the fat and lowers the MSRP down to 55k.

End of year incentives are HUGE with these and i simply cant say no to a mid 40s, (high 40s with TTL) full size Body on frame high mechanical content SUV.

4 Runners go for more than that and they are a class below in size, engine, room etc.

Driving 6 hrs each way to get the color I want.
I will miss the leather from a higher trim but everythign else is fine.
And I actually prefer the smaller 18inch wheels of the S and SV over the 20 inch wheels of the SL and the 22 inch (I think) of the platinum

This will be low frills, but high mechnanical content.
Possibly the last brand new vehicle I will ever buy, as I am not getting any younger

PS: Admins: The Armada sub forum cannot be seen on the forums list on the right. as a long year niconaut i was able to find this subforum because I knew it existed, but I doubt many newbies would...
Can we simply add the Armada into the "Nissan " ist on the right please? :poke:

For an old design, the new Armadas are still pretty slick. They had a spate of engine problems back around '18~'19 with scrubbed out #7~#8 cylinders, but Nissan seems to have remedied whatever was causing that. The most prevalent problem we see with them nowadays is brake switches, but that's something Nissan never seems able to fix on any model. The drivetrains are sturdy and the electronic toys are reliable, I think you'll like it.

Thank you :yesnod

Just picked up my certified check for the downpayment.
Am a bit worried about break in of the motor/ring searing since I will drive it back a long distance of hiway miles.

I will try to vary the speeds as much as posisble I think.

The Car is bought and the first 400 miles are now on car.
The first 60 miles I had no control over, they were on car already.
most of my drive back was hiway but i was my speed as much as posisble without becoming a safety hazard from 55-85 mph.
My best purchase ever I will make a seperate post on that.

PS: clarification:

So this is what I did for my of the drive. :
-coasted speed to 50/55/60 where safe then gently accelerated to 80/85/90, where safe.
Then coasted back down.
Rinse and repeat

Near the end (400 mile mark) I would (where safe) accelreate more brisskly from 60-90 mph then coast down to 60
Rinse repeat.

The were large sections where I could not do this technique w/o becoming a traffic hazard so I didnt.
The rest of the way drove gently.

Took on ramps moderatly brisk, 2 or 3 times, but no full throttle, rpms never above 3600.
rest of the drive, rpms below 2000 and most moderate acceleration accomplsied right around 2000 rpm.

How did I do?
