about the A/C

so this is my first car and I have a question about the A/C..

whenever I start it but, be it for cool or hot air.. my little A/C button lights up without my pushing it..

I always thought A/C was only to get cool air.. little bug y my V or I haven't been in a car often enough? lol

If you have the selector knob (not sure what to call it but its the knob on the far left) set to defrost or defrost and feet (the last two settings to the right) then the A/C comes on automatically to help "de-fogg" quicker. You have to shut it off yourself.

The A/C also can function as a humidity controller removing excess moisture from the air.
