About SR20DET

I was wondering was it possible to swap a S13 SR20DET into a S14.

I thought there was a law about swapping older year motors inside newer year cars. Also if that's the case, why do people spend thousands of dollars more purchasing a s14 sr20det than purchasing a s13 sr20det. Because of course if you know anything about sr20's the s13 sr20 cost ALOT cheaper

There is a emissions law but the sr20 is not street legal so that rule does not apply. People have made the sr20 pass but if you pull up to an emission station and the inspector is not crooked or smart you will fail the visual inspection.

Ok, let me get this straight. So a S13 SR20DET motor, is perfectly easy and compatible to fit inside a 1995 240sx Zenki.

You can put whatever engine you want into the car. The only difficulty is wiring it properly. If you arent doing that, then that makes the swap that much easier.

As said before, swapping SR20DET's into ANY car in the U.S. car for street use is illegal.

S14 and S15 SR's have more power than the S13 SR and are generally newer.

that would probably ease the pain there a lot there, and theyre in orlando which cant be all that far for you if you have to drive down

go to the link in my sig... i put an s13 blacktop motor in my zenki 95 240. also i sent my wiring off to batlground in atlanta. http://www.batlground.com they did an awesome job i recommend them.
