? about running an adapter from manifold

- ok my question is - i have one of the ssauto manifolds- yes iv heard there ****ty but ill give it a try-

- question is - has anybody ran a adapter from manifold, id like to say a 90 of manifold and then bend up - then weld on flang and place turbo away from steering rack

- also on the extension - a wastgate facing down -- then building an adater plate from were the powersteering pump went andrenforcing the adapter to be able to support holding the turbo -but also relaving the strees on the manifold -?? any suggestions- anybody try this before -

input needed - o yah turbo it a t3-t043 84trim turbo

wastgate ? in process of looking for one

already tried, hit the master brake cylinder.

i even goofed around and built one that went up and towards the front of the engine. helloooooo lag city. was still fun to build though for ****s and giggles.

so pretty much- BUy a new manifld

- what was the distance or lenght of your adater and what kinda turbo were you running

7inches long maybe? i used square tubing. was running a t3/t4 with .48ar

that tiny of exhaust ar and i had huge lag.

intresting - i have the same turbo - t3 t4 garret also have a t3 t40e turbo 84 trim only way to fit is with the adapter -- also going to use header tubing cut in half then make it fit with the flanges -steel braided lines -

- also - did you just tap your oil pan like i plan to do and close the one of the stocks ones- along with coolint lines?

dont thing im gona Run it longer than id say 3 just to cover flange - then extra 2 just to give some distance- so total of 5 then strait back custom downpipe right from there-

will see how it goes-- u got any pictures of ur adapter -?

im not a fan of going with big adapters if your looking for performance. make sure u have enough room, i cant visiualize what your trying to do. theres not a lot of room in there.

i have no clue what u mean by tapping the oil pan. whats wrong with the stock oil lines? and yes i blocked off the coolant lines just because my turbo was only oil feed. but if it was water too, i would of used the same lines.

and no pics. im on vacation, pics on other cpu

kool - bigger adater - NO just extending it alittle to give room to fit - as for taping the oil pan - iv heard with aftermarket turbos - you can tap the oil pan -but as info u have givn has helped alot- oil lines staying the same - coolient blockedwill post pictures - so u know what i mean
