is installing a rear spoiler increase fuel economy at all? or it's just making a car look good?

Unless you're working on supercars, formula one and the like, it's purely cosmetic.

If it had any effect, it would slightly lower mpg due to the extra downforce (and thus a percieved increase in weight). However at the speeds (and aerodynamics) of the V, there should be no difference at all.

Unless you have the AIM CAI.......Tanabe Exhaust.........lowered............THEN it helps

Just kidding...it's mainly for looks and would not help in the millage department.

When building a element online they say the rear spoiler keeps the rear glass clean.

I think it just sports up these cars and I like them.

Spoilers also help the stability of a car. Turbulent air behind a vehicle can make a vehicle unstable an want to fishtail and sway back and forth at high speeds. A race car without its areo pieces will do similar things as the pic below. The wing helps smooth out the air in the rear causing the vehicle to become more stable. As far a a regular car, the speeds aren't high enough for the spoiler to have an affect. Most spoilers installed on cars are still useless at high speeds. They are simply too small for the application needed.

The only car that comes to mind with a small spoiler that was needed is the one on the audi TT. I was into VWs real bad at a time and I remember when they were released without that spoiler. The rears got squirrely at speed.

It was fixed with a baby spoiler that raised at speed or manually with the flick of a switch.

I just like them on the versa 'cause they are sporty and I want my kiddie carrier to be sporty like the 240sx.

That feature reminds me of the SLR McLaren's spoiler. It automatically pops up during high speed braking and resets itself during acceleration.

That reminds me of the flaps that came up on Knight Rider when the car had to stop from super fantastic high speed pursuit mode. lol
