I just got a HKS GD Pro Twin Plate Clutch Kit and I have a few questions.

first question, how thick are the clutch plates supposed to be? i got a used kit and I am trying to figure out how much life is left in the one I have. the plates are 3.7mm and 4.0mm thick. anyone know what their thickness is new?

second question, do I use the factory sized TOB? or go with the smaller one that I hear you use on some twin plate clutches?

4.4mm new. 3.7 is about time to change the disc. The discs aren't too expensive to get, about 150-160 a disc but does not include the friction plates. You're gonna end up spending about 600 on the overhaul. the tob I forgot about, you might have to call HKS about that.

513.92 from SCO.

also, is it a bad idea to swap clutch plates so that the 4.0mm is in front and the 3.7mm in back? (for anyone who reads this and does not know, it is the first clutch disk that slips, so it wears faster, the 2nd one has a harsh engagement)

513.92 for the discs and plates? that's awesome. haven't found em much cheaper than about 6 bills. you could give the disc change up a shot but at 3.7 its time for a change.

how do you like this clutch? i have very little experience with any dual plate clutch, however at 500 bucks i decided to go for it.

i am actually probably going to give the disk change up a shot. also, can the flywheel be resurfaced on this thing?

I would have preferred if the hub were sprung but we all make sacrifices. The flywheel can be resurfaced but take it to a machine shop that can do it.
