i have an s13 black top motor in my 1989 240sx, usdm hicas vlsd and s15 trubo boosting at 10 lbs on 18" rims running 14.04 with wheel hops and now i will be putting 16" rims with subframe bushing collars from http://www.splparts.com to minimize wheel hops when launch and minimize my 18" rims to 16" rims. will there be any differeces or will i hit 13's 1/4 mile?????? just asking because if i'll hit 14's again with the upgrade than i guess i will not attend the track again this year and i'll have to wait till next year for bigger injectors with higher boost. thanks you all.:ylsuper :ylsuper :ylsuper

Tires will make the difference, as always. Do everything you can to run at the track with the stickiest tires you can afford. If this means loading two slicks on wheels in the back and changing them at the track, then that's the way to go...assuming your launch is consistent.

for racing/draging 16 or 17 are best, don't go bigger. spend the money for light rims and sticky tires. the lighter the car the getter your 1/4 can get, to a point of course.

A buddy with an sr knocked off a few tenths of a sec. by taking off the belt driven fan and clutch assembly.

what was your 60ft, sounds like it was slow considering the 100+ mph trap. If you could get a good lunch (sub 2 seconds)you should see a mid 13s pretty easy. My friend ran 13.8 at 101 in his v6 mustang with a 2.1 60ft.

SuperCharged

He just had his license revoked, so he now has 6 months of down time. we are going to sale the SC and setup a custom single turbo charger on it. should be making around 400hp and running low 12s next season. should also have a 8.8" axel, cam, and maybe some other stuff by them also.
