about boston acoustics new line(s) of products...

so i saw a while ago that they have completely changed their line up of speakers. the pro .5 components and subs are gone, the rally's are gone, all the things i loved are gone, and i am wondering if anyone here has heard the newer line of products and could talk about how they stack up to the older stuff... i have the older pro 6.5 and 5.5 as well as the pro subs... i love em. i can't imagine that the new ones are better, but they cost more and i am definitely curious... can they take as much abuse as the old ones? is their construction solid? anyone have any info? if i bought more bostons i would probably have to go the extra step and get the z components, but at this point my pro's are still great and i'm not gonna get rid of em until they are DEAD!!! but i'm still just curious about all this new stuff... it just seems like boston is turning more and more into mainstream quality stuff, and i haven't heard their newer products so i can't comment on quality, or any of that... someone tell me what the deal is.

haha i've been posting on the kat forum a lot lately and i forgot how infrequent responses on this forum are... i'll be patient but it seems like this forum fluctuates with people... sometimes there are tons, sometimes there are none... like when Ayjay did his write up there were TONS of people... what happened??? back then i was posting as AustinSilvia... i've since stopped using my brothers sig, and created my own....

I try to chime in when I have something relevant to say, and since I haven't seen/heard any Boston Acoustics since the early 90's. They had a rep of being good mid-level (not the top) stuff. Just depends on what you're trying to accomplish and what your budget is.

yeah of course... i know they aren't the best of the best of the best.... but damn i love my pro's... i wonder if people are buying their newer products, because their older stuff had such a good reputation and all and since the switch (to more mainstream products it seems) it seems like people are shying away from them and going more for focals and infinity's and comparable products...

i just want to hear from someone who has demo'd all of them.

i am really interested in the z components also... just how much of an improvement over the pro's are they?
