Hey,I've done a search on this and there are some mixed answers. Some people say that the stock headbolts can be resused once they have been removed and some people say that it can't. I need to know what people recommend or have done. Reuse it or lose it? Thanks in advance!!!!

measure them. if within spec, they can be reused. If not within spec, they cannot.

if there is any question, why not just get new ones, you will be better off.

That's what I was thinkin too. Anyone know where to get some OEM Headbolts?? I was thinkin about gettin the ARP ones, but I really don't like the 12 points. I just wanna use the 10mm Allen. My main goal is like 350rwhp or so, so do you think I should shell out the extra cash and upgrade to the ARP???

ARP head studs aren't really necessary. They're strong and all, but not necessary. The stock head bolts are very strong. Some people go with studs as they use a compression method of sealing versus pressure. They may seem like the same thing, but different in application. Although the head bolts may not be as tough as the studs, they'll hold up to 410 hp at the flywheel assuming 17% power loss through the drivetrain.

Alright,Did a search for the use of B13 SR20DE headbolts and came up with nothing. Only one person said that it is compatible, but I really don't wanna trust one person saying it's ok. So if anyone else got any info or part numbers or know of anywhere to get the OEM SR20DET Headbolts, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again in advance!!!

Oh, and do you think those OEM Headbolts will withstand 350rwhp???

yes the oem headblots will take the 350 without too much hassle. They're actually quite strong if you have them checked out. If you can't find the oem headbolts, try ARP headstuds. Over kill I'd say but much easier to find if you're afraid of compatability issues.

I got my arp head studs from summit for 110 complete. Shipping was like 8 bucks? They have yet to get them back in stock but yeah I think they're expected in on the 20th of this month.

You can use head bolts from the N/A sr20de, i.e. B13 sentra, they are the same. They can be bought for about a buck each from Mossy nissan in oceanside, they are a good place to go through even if you dont live in san diego.Make sure you follow the tedious torque procedure in the factory service manual, its a pain in the ***, but you gotta do it.Studding the head isnt necessary unless you plan on boosting over 30psi. I was told this by Mike Kojima, an engineer at nissan that knows the SR engines very well. The main advantage to studding is that you dont load the fastener in torsion like you do with a bolt, only tension.
