92 240sx KA24(DE) idles high at about 1500rpm. I took it off and inspected the inner workings and it seemed fine alittle dirty so I cleaned it with carb cleaner, put a new gasket on and sealed it, started it and it idled at 1000rpm, so I thought it was good so now 3 days later of driving I got on it a little bit just through 1st and 2nd then layed off, and now its idleing at 1500. I unplugged one of the harness connectors on the AAC (the easiest one to get to, off of the big hex bolt) while the engine was running and nothing happend? The MAF is good, but the idle does fluctuate up and down no much tho. I'm at a loss should I just buy a new one or is there a better why to test it?

It might be your tps. when your tps goes out, the whole iacv unit becomes useless.

you unplugged the ficd which is only on when a/c is on. look up tps in tutorials . dont forget to do the voltage test where thing are plugged in.(tps) ie .45 volts. Pay $40 and get a consult cable because it will tell you at a glance what is going on. your iacv is not the problem unless the spring is broken.

yes, just plug into laptop/. there is a connector in the car by the fuses. look up consult in tutorials in my signature. desktop cmpt would be less convenient unless in your garage.
