got a SOHC Hatch having good idle when cranking but then RPMS fall to 0 and car boggs down and sputters Iv checked the vacuum lines n they're all secured. Timings good! But i hear a hissing or leak coming from the AAC (Auxiliary Air Control) or IAC (Idle Air Control) dont know which though.. Can this be fixed adjusted or do i have to buy a new one or what? If so which is the actual part? Any suggestions??P.S Professional help desired please

Thanx

try brake cleaner around the valve, if your idel goes up then it's leaking, you can also spray around vaccum lines to see if they are cracked or leaking. just remember the car has to be on but spray moderatly b/c it it combustible so just be carefull.

you can eather use brake cleaner, carbe cleamer, or starter fluid.
