Does anyone know if a A-14 or A-15 Cylinder head will readilyfit on an A-12 block? Some folks in New Zealand said yes....thx S.D.

thx guys.....luckily I figured it out myself. yes an A-15 cylider head does fit an A-12 block. The H-89 head is best as you probably already know....I know you will be excited to hear that this mod adds about 10-15 hp over the already outstanding 60hp. Plus, it keeps things rather original and gives you many tuning options. Cheerio! S.D.

P.S. My son wants to put Mazda 13Bs in all my A-12 powered vehicles.....great engine! but blasphemy to my Datsun soul!

hey man, if you're fitting the H879 head to an early A12 (Front dizzy, as oppposed to mid dizzy) then you WILL ned to modify the oiling for the rocker gear. Just take a good look at at where the oil exits the block deck, and compare the H89 head to your old one. (If you have a front dizzy block that is) You'll need to just drill a wee hole to allow oil to reach the rocker gear.

Which NZ forum were you on?
