here is what I have for starters,

1992 nissan 240sxka24de and now T

I have a T3 turbo with a top mount manifold with an external wastegate.A medium sized intercooler. 550 injectors, z32 maf and a refamped computer flashed for the 550 injectors and z32 maf from ka empathy.

Now I got it all installed and hooked up, I researched on this site how to install the maf. I started the car and it wouldn't idle? I turned up the idle screw and now it idles at 800 to 900rpm. The car buffs alot of black smoke from to much fuel. My aem air/fuel gauge says 10:1 which also could mean richer yet. If I take it out for a drive it runs like crap until I give it a little throttle. When I get into the throttle more the car then starts to lean out more and more till the point that bad problems could happen.

Now I went ahead and checked out on alldata and it says the maf should read .8v when the car is off and during idle at operating temp. should read .8v to 1.5v. Now mine reads when off at .08v and when the car is at operating temp. it reads .24v? I am thinking the maf is bad but am not 100% sure but it's the only thing I could think of.

So could someone out there help me out??? I don't want to go buy another maf if it isn't the problem.

You might want to drop by our KA-T section. I just happened to stumble into this thread.

Where did you purchase your ECU? That looks like an Emance ECU...You might want to check out some of our threads about him in the KA-T section for more info.

It also could be your MAF, if you open the throttle body does the MAF reading change?
