This is my 1963 Datsun L320 I found it sitting in a junkyard rusty away with a Ford mustang motor in the rear of the bed. Me and my dad both thought it was a morris minor for a split second but we saw the emblems and the grill that told it off. Well now it is getting stripped and sanded and reading to come back to life. So far I found way too much bondo and a crap load of amazment. It had the original JCPenny tires and it sat with just a bit over 20k miles. Yes that is the picture of when we first got it home and started gutting it down.

Yeah living in a snow state I would figure a lot of rust for sitting for years. All I have seen so far is surface rust.

With salvage Steel at $1.05 a pound you're lucky. Good stuff is being crushed daily. I challenge all members to check their local junk yards for the older Datsuns and let's try to save any of them that we can. Ken
