Ok i have been wanting to get a r32 GTR and i have the money but im uncertain of getting one cause im hearing alot about getting seized! So i have this question if i buy one from a guy purchase it cash take every bit of info from the guy i got toss it away and buy a used 240sx and rip off all the vins for the car and transfer it on the GTR and take the 240 to a scrap yard or make it a race car and register it as a 240sx? I know this is highly Illegal, But im wondering if this can be done and if anyones tried this and got caught? Please dont post saying this was already reviewed just search i dont have time for that! Simple question Simple answer!

You seriously do not want to try that route. You have a 50-50 chance of getting caught. If you do get caught, it's a federal offense. Your chances of getting caught are gonna be hight if you take it somewhere to register it where they inspect the car. If anyone knows what a 240SX is, you're gonna be SOL.

I suggest just keeping an eye open for any MotorEx cars that might pop up, or just hold your coin till, if ever, NHTSA and everyone else breaks and lets them come in.

A federal offense.......hmmmmm i think im just gonna save up a little more and get a motorex car!

I just dont want to be watched and always have to watch my back and than theyll take my car and make me ill just build a rocket!

Sorry about that last thing i was just bored! But thanks for the info that definitely changed my thoughts on it! If it was more like 95% to get away with it and 5% chance of getting caught than i would go for it but i dont like 50/50 odds! Thanks Thread is closed and

Or just wait until 2014. I hope you have a good job if you're looking for a motorex car.

If you really want one that badly, try the unibody Kaizo route. For all intents and purposes they're still a Skyline. You just have to build it. The only snag you'll run into is if you're in California and you need to be one of the first 500 people to get the smog exemption on Jan 2nd. Other than that, a kit car; which is what a Kaizo is, is going to be your best route other than the MotoRex option, if you can't find a bonded R32.

Happy hunting.

That's a bad idea. You're going to get caught doing that. The point is to not have an illegal Skyline. Right now the only "legal" way to have a Skyline is to have one that is Federally bonded by the MotoRex incident, or getting one via a kit car.

Obviously there are sticky threads up top for you to read, I suggest you do so before you post. This is to save us all the heartache of having to explain over and over why certain things are wrong and right. It's all pretty cut and dry in those threads. All the research has been done for you, use it.
