From the stats you just gave, it sounds like they mated 2 Suzuki Hayabusa engines together. However 11k rpms seems kinda low for that engine in a race situation.

Check out the specs http://www.radicalextremesport...c.php 1 up 5 down? thats a bike transmission. Plus looking at all the specs. That is right up there will all the hayabusa specs I want one of them engines! Throw that sucka in a miata However to get 500hp out of that engine you would need forced induction and like you said race gas. 350hp though could easily be done N/A on pump gas

considering the displacement wouldnt that motor create low torque. I would imagine that you would still need some good torque to get a heavy car moving.

you dont need alot of tq to go fast, if you got lots of rpm you will still move just fine. look at Ferrari they dont make much tq but they make lots of high rpm hp.

ferrari still makes around 300 or so ft lbs which is plenty to get it rolling...

this motor probably makes about 150 to 200 which would suffice in what looks like about a 1200 pound race car.

I have seen a 600cc V8 2 years ago, same design just really really small.

350bhp and 170 lbft in a 284lb package (with gearbox, 200 lbs lighter than a stock KA + transmission) would be enough to send a lightweigh 240sx or other small car into mach 3.

How much would it cost to build a "small" V8 like that. It wouldn't have to put out more than 100HP. Any estimates? Are there any websites/companies that I can buy parts from?

Hey if you're looking for a small engine and only need 100hp, why not look at a 600cc I4 motorcycle engine. The new honda 600rr with an ARATA full exhaust and fuel remap makes 111.8 rwhp. I'll see if i cant find the dyno graph for ya.
