Is there someone in or around the Austin area, who has a 3.5-6MT, Racingline Y-Pipe, and an aftermarket intake who wants to get their car tuned PROPERLY by UpRev?
If so, I will pay for half the dyno time.
UpRev is located in Austin, Texas. Check em out at UpRev.com
You have to put your car on the dyno and buy the license for $300. (that's less than a Bullydog) That gets you an economy tune and a performance tune. The cruise control buttons are used to switch between stock, econ, and the performance tunes. That also means that, finally, there will be true dyno performance numbers. Not butt dyno, but cold hard numbers.
Because I have a CVT, I can't get on the dyno. That is why I'm willing to pay for half the dyno time. I can't remember how much an hour it is, but I will find out tomorrow. ($35 - $50 an hr?)
Once your car is tuned, then I buy a license for $300 and they flash my ECU with the new tune. You MUST have an aftermarket intake and the Racingline Y-Pipe. Otherwise your tune won't help me, and that means I can't help you.
I have talked face to face with Rich, who is their sales and marketing guy, multiple times. I have let them download the ECU info from my car. And it all boils down to that untill someone with a manual transmission puts their car on the dyno and gets it tuned properly, Bullydog is the only solution, and that is not the correct solution. IMO and UpRev's opinion.
This is a win / win offer that has the potential to help the whole Altima community with a real tuning solution.
So.. What do you think? All feedback is appreciated.
