I moved my questions to the mechanics forum.

But I still say that being charged $45.00 +tax just to have your Check Engine Light read is just highway robbery!

Dude, go to autozone, they will hook up the diagnostic up to your car and tell you why your check engine light is on. The check engine light is on in my g/f S14, took it to autozone and it read, "ignition control system, or misfire" Not sure what i should do about that, but they hook it up for free.

Thanks for the repsonses!

The AutoZone idea sounded great! I went to my local AutoZone that and they said that they don't have the equipment to check my year ('94). But they do have the equipment to check new models. Don't ask, I'm just telling you what they said. Should I try a different AutoZone or is that typical for my year.

Yeah, i forgot about that, your car has to be a 95 or above i do believe. Cause on my g/f's S14, which is a 95, the first time we brought it up there, they looked under the drivers side for the hook-up, and they said our car was too old, but we found out that it was on the passangers side of the car, so you might check that out too.
