A tone when shifting

Ok...so when I first got this car 06 coupe MT, The stupid REV thing kept going off....finally figured how to get that stupid thing off. But have you ever heard a tone right when you put your foot on the clutch to shift from first->second....like a very faint bell ringing type noise.... very short, sounds like its telling you to shift or something. I am not sure if it has something to do with the harmonics of the transmission or what. but you have to listen with no radio etc...

just wondering....
