KA-T is awesome.

If the bolts don't come loose, invest in a breaker bar or impact gun.I have a breaker bar and it helped me a lot of times, I like it.

if im correct the 6 bolts your refering to hold the rear main seal housing to the block. there are 4-14 mm bolts that hold the flex-plate(technical term for flywheel on automatics) to the t/c just rotate the crank to get to them once thats unbolted you should be able to slide the transmission back. To get the t/c off the transmission you will have to spin it i cant remember either left or right it will only go like a 1/4 turn then you should be able to pull it straight back to come off ,but may i ask why your taking it off theres usally no need unless its bad.

All you do is take off the 2 metal plates that bolt to the trans and the block then teh inspection plate thing will come off and you will be able to get to the 12mm bolts holding on the torque converter to the flywheel. THere are only 4 of them. it's actually fairly easy.

lol ya. thanks guys. it was fairly simple, which blew me away. theres those 4 bolts that hold the flywheel to the torque converter in the back. totaly didn't see them.

i had bought a motor that had a automatic tranni on it. I plan on building that motor. i just needed the torque converter and flywheel off to bolt up the engine stand.

You can't use a A/T flywheel on a Manual tranni can you?

P.S. Good Automatic transmission for sale!
