Hey guys i've got a 92 240SX with an A/T. I've read there is a sensor you can disconnect that makes it shift more agressively and I can't frickin find the gd thing anywhere.

Anyone able to help me out real quick? Sorry if this has been asked before.

EDIT: Instead of making another thread I might as well ask this here.

Is there any EASY way to bypass the power steering pump?

Try this for the transmission- http://www.240sx.org/faq/index.htmlI'm not sure how to do the power steering thing though.

Thanks a lot for that, I was thinking it was an actual sensor or something, not a resistor.

The resistor is what helps regulate line pressure at low throttle settings. Disconnect it and you will get a kick in the rear at every shift. You wont like it.

Do it right, get your valve body reworked and/or get some stiffer 1-2 accumulator springs. Thats what I did (springs). I think they were from a 300zx or a pickup. I got them out of a junkyard transmission that had already been removed from whatever vehicle it was in. The 1-2 accumulator had 2 springs, the normal 240sx RE4R01A automatic should only have one. Firmed up the 1-2 nicely without being harsh.

the AT are weak anyways. I would not touch the resistor. Get a new performance valve body, and a stall. BTW if you really want it to shift hard get a 5-speed.
