im sure it is a cost effective kit, yeah, right... its amazing that people think you can add 140 hp with some more air. whatever happened to the idea that you need more fuel for more air? it kind of reminds me of the leaf blower idea... just cram some more air into the engine, and it will run fifty times faster, i promise.

Says it runs on an 8hp electric motor, must be bad for the alternator.

ok ok, it takes between 10-30hp for most cars to run a supercharger(either roots/twinscrew or centrifugal), and tho that fake lookin supercharger may be smaller, but it should still take more than an 8hp electrical motor to move such thing.

sounds like a good idea:), but i'd rather wait for pintotech.

usually the amount of hp the blower takes is related to the amount of boost being used. On some BIG BLOCKS it takes up to 50hp off of the crank. But if you are only gonna run 8-12 psi I doubt it will take 30hp. 10-20 sounds about right. but then again that depends on the conidtion of the motor also

I'd like to know the electrical requirements for that 8hp motor. It doesnt seem like a car's electrical system could handle such a load without straining.

Also, how is it controlled?? Does the motor run at the same speed all the time. I'd imagine a blower spinning at idle isnt a very good (or efficient) idea.

I'm not a fan of those electric "power burst" superchargers.
